Frequently asked questions
You can add more than one phone numbers to your Proxima account. If you want to change your phone number, just add a new phone number and delete the old one. All your contacts will get your new phone number immediately.
In native phone/calling apps which comes pre-installed with your device, everything works offline. You need to manage information of all your contacts manually. If someone changes their contact number, you need to update it manually. Or if you changed your phone number, it is not possible to share the new number with all your contacts immediately.
Proxima is a next-gen solution for contact creation and sharing. Here you create your own contact profile and share it with others by connecting with them. Once connected, no need to save and update/manage everyone's contact information manually. All the changes in Proxima profiles are synced seamlessly with everyone. In result, you always stay up-to-date and connected with your contacts.
Apart from phone numbers, you can manage all your email addresses, social media links at one place and share those too with your contacts.
No! Proxima is a privacy-first app. We understand the importance of user's privacy. We take sincere and constant efforts to keep our platform privacy oriented. So we allow users to own their information completely and take full control of their privacy.
When you login to Proxima for the first time, your profile is by default set to Private mode. Which means, if someone wants to see your contact information, they have to send you a connection request first. They can see your information only when you accept their connection request. However your Name, Profile Photo, Username, Bio and City are visible to everyone without connecting with you. We have made these fields visible to everyone to help people find you easily and accurately.
Currently no! However we are working on it to make it possible. Once this is available, you can login to Proxima on more than one device at the same time. This will allow you to access local contacts and call logs from one device to another device. Proxima will have a web version too. So if you forgot your phone at home, don't worry, you can access your contacts and call logs on your laptop too.
